I love my gaming laptop but I really want a slim and light laptop which has decent gaming performance as well.
I hope Windows on Arm or may be Linux on Arm becomes good enough to handle gaming and give a great battery life.
My current gaming laptop lasts only 2 hours on battery

The best thing about macbooks is the battery life and performance plugged off, no other windows laptop in any price can do that, also for software development and overall productivity work linux based machine is always better than windows. Also qualcomm should be good with pricing since most windows users are budget users if they go the apple way and price it as premium as them, then apple will always win since apple is still an aspirational brand

I don't care so much which chip is better. What I care about is that they are competitive. I'm using Macs now, and I love the progress with the M chips. But competition is crucial, so I'm happy to see the Snapdragon X Elite laptops close to being released. They will be a great fit for future Windows versions. I personally don't care for Windows but I'm hoping for some awesome Linux systems.

Im a windows user. 2 weeks ago i almost hit purchase on an m2 macbook pro q6 inch. But then i saw the release video for the X Elite.

Recently, apple has made laptops with the best build quality, the best chips, and the best battery life. But its looks like we are going to see windows devices finally matching up and i am going to wait and see!!

Windows on ARM is kinda weird tho
I mean in order for windows to work PROPERLY on ARM based chipsets requires proper development and optimizations
Current windows 11 cannot do that unfortunately
Probably they will launch some separate windows and till then linux

No matter how powerful the chip is if software optimisation is not good nothing gonna play 😂 As a software Engineer I really prefer M3 🔥 wonderful optimization in mac😊

sadly most softwares curently working on x86 architecture will have to be optimized or re written if windows move to arm. People probably wont be able to play older games on windows. Also even if the elite does comes up with better specs than m3, windows on it will just stop it from reaching its best. Windows is just trash with its bloatware running in background, linux and macos just run much smoother. I hope windows launch a complete new win 12 to actually give out the best with the arm chips.
