Seems that the Qualcomm chip really is holding its ground compared to the new Apple M3 !

Geekbench is biased towards apple. We need to see other sources

The SD Elite X uses 80 watts to achieve the same performance that the M3 Pro does at 27 watts…

…while the M3 Max leaves it in the dust at just 56 watts of max power usage.

:| i think geekbench is not extremely well optimised for arm ecosystem. :) but sdxelite has potential to end x86. :| i have a decent pc right now. Which is why I don't need it at this moment.

But i might buy 2nd gen elite sagment...

The impressive part really is that the X Elite beats the M2 Pro with the same process node and at lower power. Apple still has a signifidant Edge with the M3, but it isn't inconceivable that Qualcomm will close the gap once they have node parity. All that being said: as long as Windows is dogpoop on ARM (and in general, frankly) I don't see this wrestling back any customers from Apple.

THE 14900K BY INTEL MATCHES THE M3 PRO AND SNAPDRAGON. SO IF YOU CANT AFFORD YOUR ELECTRIC BILL GE AN M3 OR SNAPDRAGON. I HAVE SOLAR IN CA. FREE ELECTRIC. SO I WILL KEEP MY 14900K WITH THE 4090 VIDEO CARD WHICH CANT BE BEAT.

I don't know about "holding" ground... the Qualcomm isn't even available until mid 2024 or later. Who knows what the real performance will be by then vs these early extremely controlled samples.

Haha, my integrated GPU scan is less than 50% and over 1 hour. Think I shall delete it
