Will you consider getting an Snapdragon Windows Laptop?

I noticed 2 small things I'd like to add:
-The book4 edge doesn't use nvme storage. It used eUFS.
-The X1E-80-100 is not the the snapdragon x elite the smaller book4 edge 14" comes with. The bigger 16"-pro version comes with the X1E-84-100. That one has slightly higher clocks. I understand why you went with the smaller 14" version, just would've been nice if you mentioned that.

Qualcomm made these comparisons tough because there are 4 different versions of the X Elite.

This is the first video I have found so far in YouTube comparing two most wanted laptops of recent times. Thank you so much.

I'm a loyal Mac user and think is great that windows users finally have a laptop that is fast with a long lasting battery. I still think that Macs are way better but competition is good for everyone.

Appreciate the in depth review and realistic benchmarks. I was looking forward to buy X elite this year but the copilot recall drama might make me switch to get a Macbook this fall.

I just ordered a Snapdragon XPS 13 for my wife's new work laptop. I'm really glad they're utilizing M.2 drives with these snapdragon systems and not on board SSD's like what Apple does.

I'm really impressed with snapdragon. Since iPad Pro can't run Mac apps, I'm now more interested in new Surface Pro, which runs full Windows and I can install all applications that I need. Since MacOS is too much to ask for, I wish I could install any Mac apps on iPad.

When i started college i sold my notebook to buy an iPad Pro, thinking that it would be my all in one device. Wel.. i learned that it can’t actually replace a true notebook, so now I’m trying to sell it to buy a MacBook Air m1 and a cheaper iPad. The iPad Pro its a great device, but at the same time is such a disappointment. There’s so many unnecessary limitations, it has been a headache to go trough college with only an iPad

It's so good to finally see windows laptops finally catching up in performance and battery life. A vital area MacBook have been leading for a while now. I am looking forward to getting a ASUS Vivobook S 15 (S5507)

I didn’t expect these results from snapdragon elite chip

The M3 GPU is pretty impressive considering those gaming benchmarks have to translate not only the CPU instructions but also the GPU instructions. The Snapdragon chip only has to translate CPU indirections.

The introduction of Snapdragon X Elite has me considered on getting a Windows laptop to replace my M1 MBA with 8GB of RAM. But I would rather wait for the next generation of MacBook because I am into the Apple ecosystem so much it would be difficult to move back to Windows devices. Therefore I would love to get myself a M3 MBA, or a M3 Pro MBP if I have the money to spare. Of course my MBA is powerful enough for my daily routine right now, but I want to have an even better experience with ray-tracing etc and improvements in gaming. Good video btw, great job Matt!

When you do battery drain test
Make sure both are in same screen brightness, wallpaper.
Because dark wallpaper consume less power.

Very nice comparison Matt!! The snapdragon X Elite is really impressive, these chips definitely gives a hare time to M3 chips but when M4 Macbooks will roll out they will be having an edge over snapdragon chips at the end i will go with M4 chips as they are very well integrated with hardware...

Good comparison. Two corrections, though:
1. Samsung is the sole vendor this round who does NOT offer NVMe -- Samsung does eUFS -- soldered to the board; all other Snapdragon X vendors do NVMe.
2. There are no efficiency cores in Snapdragon X -- all cores are full-perf cores. Some of them can turbo-boost on the x1e80100 and x1e84100, but that's the sole difference between the otherwise same cores.

I'm really interested in Macbooks than anything in their product lineup. I think because it's a better choice for music production. Thanks!
