If the new Qualcomm laptops do nothing more than force Apple to have 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD as a minimum then they'll have been worthwhile. Apple's been offering similar base specs for around 10 years which is nothing less than disgraceful.

Remember that this is Apple's 3rd Gen silicon chips while Snapdragon X Elite is first Gen. I'm excited to see future generation chips. Competition is looking juicy!

Thanks for the video. I picked up the Surface Pro Copilot PC on launch day and have been impressed... but I've only used native apps so far. Good to see that even in emulation on Lightroom that it still performs well! I was hoping to use it instead of Lightroom Classic on the tablet as long as performance was atill decent. Thanks again for all the testing in short order!

I agree, but only after Microsoft gets everyone to port their Windows applications to run in the native mode of the X Elite SoC. And that could take about 2-3 years. This is why Adobe ported their Creative Suite tools to run in X Elite native mode.

Can you try android emulation. Gaming benchmark and battery test. I think it's more interesting to investigate the Windows capabilities with the new snapdragon x elite instead of just doing regular comparison

For me it’s all down to the single core performance, and how an ARM cpu can run Steinberg Cubase in a studio without any latency, hitches or glitches. Planning on getting a new DAW computer a year from now. Watching all these reviews with great interest.
