Note: The X Elite should be getting a GPU driver update soon, so get subscribed and get ready for more testing!

conclusion: everybody wins because competition is always a great thing

Are we going to ignore the fact that the 14 inch MBP has a 69.6 watt hour battery whereas the surface has 54 watt hour battery so efficiency isnt actually that much better on the MBP 14

But this is not MBP competitor, Surface Laptop Studio is macbook pro competitor.
This Surface is Macbook Air competitor

I will skip this generation. Much better than previous but still need the most important thing and that is developers support.

for a $600 diff, you would hope the MBP would destroy the Surface

1. Many of the graph labels and proportions are wrong.
2. No mention of the HUGE battery size difference.
I'm a Mac user but I love the competition. It's good for all of us.

The thing about battery life is that the M3 pro has around 70Wh battery whereas the surface only has 54Wh battery combined with the fact that many of these applications are not yet optimised for the X Elite means there is a greater penalty for running emulation

For the average user, such as me, the Snapdragon is more than enough. I see that youtubers usually do heavy testing but the vast majority of user are basic and average which means we don't need a Macbook

A higher chassis temperature and a lower core temperature is actually a good thing, goes to show how well the cooling system is working in dissipating the heat

16:50. Your graph is so wrong there on the M3 Pro (CPU only). How come it was almost as short 21 secs. of the 1st machine when it is half of X Elite's total time?

Nice comparison. The Davinci Resolve you used for Windows is a beta version.
I wish I can get the footage to know how it will perform on my custom gaming PC

Snapdragon CPU initially designed for servers gets owned by the MB pro. If anyone’s talking about fairness, let’s start there to those who are crying this isn’t a fare fight. It goes to show you how much experience Apple has at CPU design and hardware, that the top industry companies haven’t been able to compete just yet even years after the M1 was considered a massive success.

weird how with macbooks, the cut down chip is referred to as binned... with CPUs and GPUs, being binned usually means it is a superior, fully enabled version.

Do you have a chance to play with Dell XPS? Would like to know how it compares to other Snapdragon notebooks.

Is there an aftermarket 2230 nvme we can upgrade the FL7 to match those write speeds?

* Davinci is still in Beta right? Which is not "fully optimized", or they actually released a stable version?

nice to see that you finally used the Figma desktop app on Windows and not the browser like you did in the previous video. You can clearly see that there's a noticeable difference in the performance compared to the previous video

Great vid ...
In terms of the apparent throttling; did you investigate the default power plan in use and the effect of changing them ?

This seems like a better comparison based on the processed cores (since the Snapdragon doesn’t have any efficiency cores).
