Alright so we all know that skullcrushers emphasize the long head of your triceps since your shoulders are flexed and your elbows are above you, so next time you do em, superset them with close grip bench press where your shoulders are flexed roughly 90 degrees and your elbows are out in front of you to finish off the lateral and medial head.

This paired with some sort of cable pushdown (or seated dip) is really all you need for your triceps. No need to get crazy haha

Idk about skullcrushers. I always feel like I’m doing them wrong even with light weights. Personally I do neutral grip rope pulldowns to emphasize my long head. I do them one at a time too and recommend this to anyone who wants to work their long head 👍🏽

DO NOT make the mistake of skipping skullcrushers, I skipped skullcrushers for 9 months now instead of horseshoe shape I just have definition on my arm but it's just a line and ends when it gets to the long head.

Those who have issues with skullcrushers, do it with cable and you'll notice that there's no pressure on your elbow

You probably dont need this very much since overhead extensions will still hit all 3 parts of the triceps.

Honestly skull crushers is one of the few exercises I’d never have someone do. They blew my triceps up but gave me elbow discomfort and cracking literally right as I did them. And I did have correct form

No need to do close chest. Just do regular Db chest press, will give you better results.

Here’s a tip: you can do that exact close grip press to target chest if you almost try to crush the dumbbells together as hard as you can while pressing up.

Ngl skullcrushers are pretty bad for me personally, it gave me elbow pain even
tho I didn’t egolift and controlled the weight. I prefer doing other exercises to put less pressure on them

Any reason to use an inclined rather than flat bench for both exercises?

Since you can lift way heavier doing close grip press than skullcrushers, this seems like most supersets: a waste of time. You aren’t nearly as effectively hitting the heads as you could if you just ditched the superset, and did these individually with the appropriate overload for each.

Or you could do heavy close grip first since it's a heavier compound exercise. Then do extensions with enough intensity to not have to playtime with this super set. Infact just learn how to J.M press.
