I think you are correct in this, sometime they just string you along because they know you don' t want to lose them. You care more about them than they do for you. If you treat them like a priority and they treat you like an option, it will just chip away at your confidence and self-esteem. Love is blind, and you don't see their flaws but they on the other hand only focus on your flaws.

This is the best advice EVER, and the way I have always handled myself in relationships. When a guy "breaks up" with me to stroke his ego, I go ghost on him then go out and publicly date someone that blows him out of the water. Those reasons i get to hear from her to break up were so little i couldnt believe that we need to end our relationship.. i am believer of doing mistakes, admitt, fix and continue. Its just make sure in me that this girl dont wanna work on 8 years of relationship anymore, which i was thinking we can fight everything if we really want. We break up in good terms, i even saw that she kinda thinking about it twice as much when we were together for the last day. I told her that i dont agree that this should end but i respect you and i left day after. She was kinda surprised that i didnt beg like i did before. Now in 14 days of NC, realizing that i will rethink it twice if she ever contact me for having reunion. We break up in good terms, but if someone isnt sure about me, even after 8years!!! I really dont think i want that person again.
