Exercise helps the brain in general. It's helped me a lot. Migraine, moodiness, high blood pressure.... Something positive will come out from any sort of research done on exercise and the brain. Be it an injury or something born with.

Running, hiking walking or rigorous exercise in any form helps me. Complex tasks., sitting inside, large groups, and loud noise are my enemies. I was just diagnosed w tbi at the VA. I always new what helped and hurt me . Still in the 7th level of hell at the VA.

This is all very well, but I can barely find enough physical and cognitive energy to manage to supply myself with food, clothes etc. I regularly run out of essentials because I have no capacity to go out. If I go out for an appointment etc. on one day, I have to rest the next day. My fatigue is so severe it makes life miserable. I have tried asking for advice from doctors, physiotherapists etc. and they just waffle on about timetables and pacing. I have done all that, but it doesn't give me any more energy. I have sat by a recreation ground, desperately wanting to take a short walk, but unable to because I need to conserve my remaining energy for when I get home and take 30 mins to climb the stairs. I want to know how to change things. My physical condition has been deteriorating but I don't know how to reverse it. Nearly 7 years post injury now. Injured by a surgeon in hospital.
