Hi Lisa. I done 6 years with my narc girlfriend. It took me 2 years to get over this relationship.I felt my spirit had been raped. I did nt realise that a person could be so evil. I not only see the demonic manifest in her face on the way out. But on parting the Holy Spirit spoke very clearly to me and said what does darkness and lite have in common. And I’ve set you free from the snare of the fouler. Any one reading this. It’s a long journey to recovery. Ask the lord to set free from all the soul ties that have attached themselves to you from the narc. Ps I didn’t no what soldiers ment by post traumatic stress syndrome. But boy I went through this. The clean up and aftermath of that sickening situation has been worse than the actual situation...
The day I walked away from that is when my health started suffering and it makes so much sense now, hideous ruminations and as you said, explaining yourself to others is just the same as explaining yourself to the narcissist looking for understanding.
Makes so much sense.
What a life changing experience this has all been!
Lesson learned!

Lisa, what do you do when your parents are narcs? Like I really want revenge! My dad was asking me sexual questions and he made me snap… then he smeared me to my husband… I nodded my head bc I immediately recognized it…. Most people have good parents mine has been absent for years and bc I live in an apt. Smoke cigarettes and I drink alcohol…. I got ridiculed. I don’t have children and my husband doesn’t want to have a house… he doesn’t want the up keep of a house or yard work. I don’t know how people can live with themselves
