I feel like it’s one thing to say that and know that, but it’s another to feel that after being cheated on, because it’s not just the act it’s self, it’s the manipulation, gaslighting, and breach of trust that has long lasting effects. You can have everyone you trust say “hey it wasn’t about you, it’s not your fault, she’s X, Y, or Z.” But unless you believe it it’s still hard to move past.
