I tell my coworkers and usually call off sick from work due to burnout, but I’ve always felt like they never truly believed me. Glad it’s getting recognized as real.

I've been feeling burnt out for the past 6 months from work. The stress keeps piling on until one day, I went into a mental breakdown. My body triggered some safety mechanism and all my stress melted away, however, at the same time I found it super hard to think straight. That's when I realized if I didn't stop it's going to lead to a long time to recover.

If you're in that state or nearing the state because of constant stress, I recommend taking proper breaks or rest period. No job or school is worth destroying your mental or physical well being. Everything seems so large at that time but later on you realized its not so big at all. I'm quitting my job and going backpacking for awhile. I have enough funds to last me well over a couple months so I'll be taking some time to recuperate.

If you don't have that opportunity, I recommend following the video. Yet, if its a job, try finding another one. It's not worth destroying your health and well-being over a job. There's plenty out there. If you're in school, follow what the video talks about. Also, maybe think about doing a backpacking trip. You can go on a low budget trip and still experience the world. Don't shirk your responsibility yet make sure it's not the pressure from society, friends, parents or family forcing you into staying at a position you don't want to be.

Burnout is a sign that our body tells us there's something wrong. Something's not right. It's good because then we notice it to start changing our circumstances, routines and lifestyle. You are important and are full of dignity and self-worth. Jesus loves you. You are so important to Him you are worth dying for so that you can know God and be forgiven. Do not give up on yourself. God did not give up on you. You are of great value and worth to Him. Don't give up. If you can't do it, trust in Him. He will give you the strength to keep going each and every day. You are never alone. He is faithful always :) Jesus loves you!

The neat part about workload/burnout is that you can't always decide it. Sometimes, you don't have a choice other than to survive through it.

To the *incredible person* seeing this, I wish you all the best in life❤ don't over blame yourself, accept things and go forward. Don't let others define what “success” is for you. Get up, learn the skills needed and get after it, all the keys to a happy life is in your hands. Keep pushing.

“Your own personal care has been sacrificed in pursuit of outward rewards”—this definitely resonated with me this morning and also what I need to communicate to my employer. Thank you!

It’s a shameful thing for me to admit I’m still recovering from burnout. When Covid first started my job moved us to remote and became we were told to isolate I took on taking care of my 3 year old as well. I feel like no one understands how much of a toll it took on me. From being scared of my family getting Covid and working while taking care of my son and being isolated on top of it just really took a toll on me.

when the reflection popped out of the window... wow just wow! i felt a sudden rush of emotions like i was about to cry! I've always wanted this to happen bc for me it's really hard to open up to somebody or even if i do they can't manage to comfort so i just fake smile.. but all I've ever wanted was for my reflection to be able to just jump out and hug me and tell me it's all going to be ok...

I can relate to burnout because I have experienced it from time-to-time for the past five years. I struggle taking time to rest for myself and this has been the main cause of why I feel burned out often. Last year, I started to understand why it's important to rest, but I find it hard putting in the action up to this day. However, I try to think of each day as a new opportunity to attempt giving rest another try and hope I'm able to do so so that I don't get into another burnout again. Thank you for this insightful video!

You almost always post videos at the exact time that they correspond to my emotions. It's kind of amazing how often it happens like that.

This channel is part of my armoury to remind me to look after myself as a routine. Just coming out of deep depression, anxiety, self neglect, long shifts in high stress job, complex grief, sexual and domestic abuse and Covid. Keeping track is hard. Self care, nutrition, non judgemental help have been hard to find. But I'm improving. It's hard but you are the co ordinator of your health. Good luck all.

Perfect Timing, I was so stressed about this worst cycle of my life, answering my Learning Modules, Household Cleaning, and then sleep and back again, and the worst is that the time seems to be running fast which makes me more anxious and stressful. Thanks for the advice... 😊

This has got to be one of the cutest, most soothing voices, I've ever heard. If you did ASMR, you'd own it. I'm verbally sedated now.😴
