Don't listen to general random advice like this.
Depending on your individual anatomy (and weakness/injury) you may need to bend OR flatten your back.
For example if your lower spine is naturallt in a forward bent position and you have a muscular weakness, you may well need to counter-act your back bend by tightening and flattening your back in order to engage the muscles needed to protect your spine from injury.
Failure to do so can greatly hurt your back!

So if you feel any sort of pain when moving or exercising, go see an expert in real life!

Omg why are you the first person to ever say this that I've heard!?!? I had to figure this out myself the hard way. I even had to tell my PT I needed lumbar support for this. I use a towel it allows for controllable height so I don't hyper extend. I have big shoulders and a booty so neutral for me is not flat to the floor
