Wow, these stretches were amazing. I usually just face a rail, grab it up top with one hand and either lean back or forward against it.. But the first stretch actually stretched my obliques and lats a lot better. Thank you!

Is this stretch more effective than kneeling, bent arms w elbows resting on bench or bar, and you pull your head down between your upper arms ?

Do you need the thumb up (getting external rotation) for the first stretch? Its impossible to do that on a doorframe I find

What about proper breathing technique to get the out of stretching to the parasympathetic nervous system. Most of my clients hold their breath too much during stretching.

Is there another way that we can eccentrically load/stretch the lats that you guys have found works in clinic, similar the active band stretch in this video but without losing tension (on the band) as we move eccentrically to end range?
