Foot Strengthening Exercises
Here we have physio Liam demonstrating some simple but effective foot strengthening exercises. Foot exercises can be done to add control and strength to our general movements.
1. Creating an arch while avoiding activating the tibialis anterior muscle
2. Differentiating your big toe from the rest of your toes
3. Differentiating your 2nd-5th toes without moving your big toe
4. Adding in the 2nd and 3rd exercise together to increase the coordination
These exercises can help with foot pain with walking or running and are an easy addition to your training program. They can be used during a warm up, cool down, prehab, or in a rehabilitation setting.
