Loved your appearance on Dave Tate's Table Talk, learned so much, added your Wenning Warmups and have been directing my buddies to your content ever since, many thanks!

Learning your methodologies of how to consider movement patterns and smart prep completely opened my eyes to a completely different world of training. I don’t think I can ever go back.

Wenning warm-ups attacking weaknesses can be a whole workout for most of us if we are limited in time! Super cool💪💪

As a older bench guy now, I probably need to use regular grip to help avoid injuries instead of suicide grip I always used... There's been soooo much NEW info I need to learn..I happy & blessed 🙏 to learn from you& everyone here !!!

Wenning warmups have helped me make progress on all 3 lifts, but have definitely made the most substantial difference to my bench. When I first started doing the wenning warmups, I put 20 pounds on my bench press in less than 2 months!!

Great video Matt! Most people don't think about Lat and back development when it comes to a better and HEALTHIER bench. Good advise as usual. 💪 💪 💪

I’m going through the Hypertrophy Manual now, and on chest, tris, shoulders day I’ve wondered about adding some lats into the Wenning WU.
Good food for thought here. Thanks!

wenning warmups for bench has definitely helped posture, joint health, and GPP. before i added GPP days i felt a HUGE difference from a comp not using wenning warmups to feeling completely fresh after squatting then benching at the next comp!

Loving these bench videos. I was able to hit a 405 lb bench about 3 months ago. The wenning warm ups defintely made a difference 💪🏿

Been doing Wenning warmups as of recent. Never had issues hitting big attempts but I have had issues being explosive right away and this warmup seems to build that for me.

Love Wenning warmups, especially for bench. Benching feels so much better after all the reps. Going to check out the new manual

I also think it may be important to strengthen the bicep brachii tendons and muscles.
In the bottom part of the movement the biceps are at extreme stretch under load.
It would probably be a good idea to train the bicep to be strong under stretched tension as it connects to the scapula at two points.
It may be an antagonist muscle but I think its a stabiliser and a biceps brachii injury is very common from benching.

Awesome video like always. I have tried several different hand grip positions and the true suicide grip seems to work the best for me on barbell flat bench press.
Thxs for the great content.

Saved this one just for the rotator exercises…! Thanks again..

great video, at 2:05 it clearly states that the anterior shoulder becomes the prime mover the closer the load is to a true 1rm, not the triceps. it just states that the triceps are much more involved....
