Back Relief Yoga. A healthy backs beginners yoga class to give sweet back relief. 60 minutes

I have spicy back pain. I use the back poses that I learned from my Yoga for Scoliosis training, and from my Gentle Yoga for Back Care training, to ease the pain that I have with my back. It works. This is a beginners yoga class, which can be done seated on the chair or on the yoga mat.
We use a yoga block, strap, optional chair, wall access, and optional blanket.
I teach this class in person and online for Veterans Yoga Project Online Studio.
Why yoga for Chronic Low Back Pain (cLBP)?
* Educational book
* Exercise / PT
* Yoga
All three reduced chronic low back pain.
At the 12 week mark, the yoga reduced cLBP the most according to several scientifica studies.
But...
The additional benefits of yoga included:
* Better sleep quality
* Less Stress
* and more
The studies found that there wasn't much pain reduction based on taking
one or two classes a week. Clients also had a home practice.
The cost effectiveness in doing yoga vs PT/Exercise/Book
was that the yoga participants only lost 2 days of work due to their cLBP.
Vs doing the usual therapies for low back pain, they lost 43 days of work.
Typically, when you go to the PT or Exercise or read from a self care book,
each one has their way of helping with pain. Yoga adds meditation and breathing
which is linked to perceived less pain, better sleep, less stress and more.
