I was gonna write about my looks but I think my insecurities around dating run deeper than looks. I'm a Middle Eastern guy, and well the stereotypes about us are not anything I want to be associated with (aggressiveness, sexism, backwardness, etc.) So my fear stems from be perceived (consciously or not) as all these stereotypes. I don't know if you relate but I have heard negative stereotypes about Asian men.

Definitely agreed with working on what you can change, but yeah overcoming insecurities is definitely not easy. Thank you man for talking about your personal feelings so honestly, I know it takes a lot of courage to do that.

Don't know how I got to your channel but here I am. Coming from a young woman, looks aren't all. Most of us care about how guys make us feel, not what they look like. You already have an attractive voice and obviously are able to hold an adult conversation, so you already have a leg up on other guys your age. I'm not a introverted person except for romantic relationships. I have plenty of friends, I make friends easily, I'm able to communicate well, I speak my mind and I'm open with most of my feelings. I'm just not good at putting myself out in that way. I get shy and don't talk about my feelings for that person. Maybe it's because I have a low self image of myself, find myself boring, ugly and stupid etc. I'm working on those feelings and my other plethora of insecurities but I'm not expecting love to come my way anytime soon, I kinda stopped trying at this point.

Okay so as a female who belongs to the bottom 50% I can understand the hardships. As I've never been active in the dating scene myself can't really say what it's like. But I can guarantee just being a random dude with friends and a life is enough for someone to like you. It isn't rocket science but yes it does require some sort of communication. That communication necessarily does not have to happen on tinder or even with the intention of a romantic bonding. But yes being socially somewhat active does help you find friends, love, support, etc. Also very nice to see you being completely honest and just ranting out. See mutual ranting can also be a good bonding point so rant out at your work or any other regular social settings sometimes.

Im in the same boat, im just not around girls usually, im not in the sort of environments that would have me meet them like that but I continue on with life. I focus on everything that needs focus and I know one day something will come along if it comes along. Thinking about it constantly is the worst thing you can do because just thinking isn't doing!

jk jk not sure why I clicked on this video since I'm considered an attractive Asian American woman and don't have problems on dating apps (not trying to brag, have my own problems like being self-conscious for having grown up in a super white area in the middle of nowhere and being more introverted) but I'm at work and I like watching/listening to your videos since you have some good insights. It's interesting to hear a (straight? sorry I don't want to assume your sexuality but you sounded like you at least liked women) guy's perspective on things. Pffft on all women liking romcoms, those suck imo cause they're so fake. I do think being confident (but not arrogant) and comfortable in your own skin makes you more attractive, no matter what you look like on the outside. Everyone is worth so much more than their income, possessions, looks, etc, and we're all equal in terms of deserving love and happiness
