This video was so important. I needed it, maybe a little for myself, but mostly for my friend who’s an exact picture of what you said “low self esteem is no humility, but equal to humility. Loving ourselves as God loves us is a first step to loving others as he does.” She believes it’s Christian to put herself down, call herself an idiot. To take insults. In the name of humbleness. Excellent one! I would add that it is actually well known in psychology that inferiority and superiority complexes work often hand in hand. May God give us true humility and help us realize the love he has for us.

I volunteer in the church's junior high group, and the verse we've frequently cited on this topic is Ephesians 2:10. The NLT renders it especially beautifully: "For we are God’s _masterpiece._ He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."
