3 Simple Exercises To Help With Kyphosis

Kyphosis is the exaggerated forward rounding of the back and forward head posture. As shown at the beginning of the video, poor posture such as slouching, carrying heavy backpacks can lead up to this condition.

There are other more serious medical conditions that can cause Kyphosis as osteoporosis, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy and is more common in older women.

For those who are working desk jobs, it’s important to be conscious of your posture and making sure you have a ergonomic work station. You might even catch your chin tucked toward your chest and your upper back slouched while reading this post!

Truly uplifting intro! 🤩 Loved the joy and determination encapsulated in that effortless "let's fix this!"

Consistency and believing in transformation are utterly important in improving postural kyphosis, therefore a glimpse of optimism works wonders for building motivation. I think this is a wonderful invitation to a workout which can be for some the beginning of their journey towards better posture.

What better way to celebrate the end of a good workout than by (finally) taking a satisfying breath- a treasure which is unfortunately denied to some of us due to chest tightness.

Quick clarification: Kyphosis isn’t a problem. People are meant to have a natural curve in their upper back/neck. Hyper-kyphosis is what starts causing issues.
Don’t think your posture is bad just because you aren’t a straight line.

I always worry about a foam roller on the back. Maybe mentio that it should be placed high enough that there are ribs underneath? For those who don't have large muscle development.

grab the person you want to fix by the shoulders standing behind him. extend your arms and deliver a straight kick to the middle of the back. that will fix it
