Arm Exercises For Seniors - 3 Simple Exercises To Strengthen Your Arms

Join me (Mike - Physiotherapist) in this video, as we go through 3 simple exercises to strengthen your arms. At the beginning of this video, I also discuss the secrets to no more flabby arms (toned arms).

We go through three circuits of these exercises - Go at your own pace.

Before beginning make sure you do one of the warm-up videos.

To get stronger and more toned arms do these exercises after other workouts you do - at least 3 times a week for best results.

To get straight into the exercises go to 1:30.

Super Simple Strength Workout
1. Bicep Curls With Dumbbells x 10
2. Shoulder Press With Dumbbells x 10
3. Chair Tricep Extension x 10
Repeat x 3

I have been doing the arm exercises about twice a week for a few months and am beginning to recognise the slim firm upper arms of my youth!I am 82! Arms somuch firmer.

I must have done this routine one of the very first times I came across your channel. I hit the like button but didn't comment. I've rediscovered this little gem and find that this was a wonderful routine. I'm so much stronger than I was when I first attempted this routine working your well thought our exercises for seniors. I love working with weights and I've mastered seated push ups. I can actually do many more than 10! So, a belated BRAVO and thank you for this exercise routine, Mike.

Thank you. I have discovered your videos a fortnight ago. Due to the lockdown in Delhi, India the hydrotherapy section at the hospital I visited, has remained closed. I did try attending yoga classes online but the instructor would expect us to hold a position for nearly 4 minutes. The muscle pull left me dore at many places

Diagnosed with myositis with mitochondrial dysfunction. Just out of hospital 2 wks ago and so weak in arms/shoulders and hips. The weights are too heavy for me to lift even to head level and hope doing the arm movements will be good enough until I can hold weights. I already do leg and hip exercises using my walker and kitchen counter but was discharged from hospital before we could start upper body exercises. This video is the right length for me not to be too exhausted when done. Thanks.

Fantastic arm workout! I could feel it in the back of my upper arms shortly afterwards. I’ve started out with 3 lb dumbbells. Any suggestions as to when I can move up to my 5 lb and then 10 lb ones?

Thank you Mike for your wonderful video . Iam lean and thin and 6 ft 2. tall. Iam 68 years and do yoga for 45 minutes every morning.
With your illustrative video Iam going to start using Dumbbells and practice to strengthen my arm and body muscles. Very easy to follow your instructions. Great instructor. Thank you.
