When Anakin jumped, he thought Obi would never do this move (due to everything said in this video) and thus underestimated his master. Obi-Wan recognized this was life or death for him and “did what he must.” Which explains why kenobi said “don’t try it.” He knew what anakin wanted to do. Kenobi saw this as his only way out alive
