I think the thing I love most about elderly obi wan is how at peace he is with everything that’s happened. It sucks for sure and he’ll always feel remorse for how he failed anakin as a teacher and an older brother really. But at the end of the day before meeting vader for the last time and dying by his hand, he was at peace and ready to properly train luke to take on the empire. It’s also his and yodas new found perspective on how the Jedi fell that allowed Luke to become the Jedi he became.

Holy cow, that pause after he said "and he was a good friend" hits a LOT harder when you see the flashbacks of Anakin... its SUCH a tragic story.

Losing your entire existence, your entire life's work, watching hundreds of younglings get slaughtered at the hand of your own apprentice...

Having to basically kill your own best friend, then be forced by sheer empathy to watch & protect his son until he runs off and saves the alliance...

Just to later be killed by that SAME best friend while allowing his son to escape his own father's grasp to save the good of the galaxy.

... Kenobi was the BEST version of a Jedi, and the most relatable.
