These question has always bothered gym goers at least once. Shall we select our workout time according to our convenience or factor in some science before choosing the time. However there are certain factors which should be kept in mind while deciding our workout time.
1.) Circadian Rhytm
A circadian rhythm is any biological process that displays an endogenous, entrainable oscillation of about 24 hours. These 24-hour rhythms are driven by a circadian clock, and they have been widely observed in plants and animals.
A strict sleep wake cycle will benefit us a lot.
2.) Testosterone / Cortisol Ratio
This is optimal 6 hours after we wake up. So the the time around afternoon and evening is close to ideal. This is the time when body is primed for some intense exercise.
3.)Core Body Temperature
This is also optimal around afternoon and early evening. Checking your resting heart rate will tell us this.
In case working out in the morning is what you do , supplementing with caffeine is a good idea. It is also advisable to keep working out at the same time everyday so that body is gradually primed to do so.
