This is so true I had to deal with this for years even the court at one point had ordered me to live with her with my kids I hated it I’m finally free but sometimes I wonder if I really am. I think the next thing I should do is take my kids and just run away to a different state because controlling parents like that takes things to the extreme. Also because of this I attract narcissistic people as partners and I had zero boundaries I was pretty much a doormat for years. I didn’t even realize this until I finally learned how to think for myself and not being codependent on other people telling me what I’m supposed to do or how to think. I was literally like a robot I’m just happy that I’m more aware of what was happening to me and I won’t be like that with my kids.

Thank you babe. It's so hard. My dad ruined my life. I did EVERYTHING for this man. He returned the favor by lying on me, almost getting my kids taken away. I mean the story is too long. We've all been through pretty much the same thing. I'm sure you all are either all alone or have just a couple, meanwhile you wasted your lives giving them all the shirt off your back. Here's my thing though. When do we stop letting them take from us? You know what really helped me? I repented to my Heavenly Father for spending most of my life chasing my Earthly dads love. I didn't even realize I had the Heavenly Father I had because my dad was too busy draining me physically, emotionally, spiritually all the above. I'm about to be homeless with my 2 little girls because of my dad but you know what it's ok because my real Father in Heaven will not let anything happen to his daughters! Thank you for all your beautiful messages. Thank you for sharing because we know we're not alone!! Do you all realize how powerful we are? Seriously. We all just need to figure out where and how to meet and set some stuff off! Prepare ye the way of the Lord for real!

Not only did I experience this as a child from one of my parents, I attracted the same kind of connections even in a long term marriage of 30 years. Our children were at a disadvantage from the start but I was blinded and didn't fully awaken to this mistreatment until many years later. However about 19/20 years into the marriage I started to awakened and lived in separate quarters of the house. My divorce was final in the year of 2019. It didn't erase all the damage that was done to my kids. Now as adults they still suffer the consequences heaped onto them by their narcissistic father. Typically, he holds zero responsibility.
