In the last couple of years, I have transitioned to more and more fermented foods. I make my own kimchi, spicy red cabbage sauerkraut, and I keep a half gallon jar of carrots, onions, garlic and jalapeños. Not only has my husband stopped drinking alka-seltzer (almost every day for years!). We have noticed better digestion, more clarity/less brain fog, better digestion, better sleep!! I don’t know what better argument one could have! We are 71 and 72, and haven’t been to a doctor in years! We have a big garden every year. We include ferments with every meal. We eat twice a day, with a snack of fruit and nuts in the afternoon. Generally, breakfast at 10:00, dinner done by 6:00. I would love you to delve more into ferments. What about kombucha? Kvaas? I enjoy chia seeds, soaked for a few hours in water, then add 2 Tbls of ACV, 2 Tbls of lemon juice, and 2 Tbls of organic raw local honey.

Changing your diet may seem daunting, but it is one of the simplest and most impactful steps you can take to improve your health. Just like with any worthwhile accomplishment, it will take effort and may be uncomfortable at times. But don't let that discourage you. Remember that the payoff is worth it and the effort you put in will pay off in the long run

'Lean into the foods you actually enjoy!!'
Years ago our la Leche League food philosophy was inspired by a dentist, 'Open Door to Health' - 'eat a wide variety of foods in a close to its natural state as possible!
... on oxytocin- women produce some just thinking about someone they love - and of course lots is released whilst nursing to prompt that bond!

I've been making more fervent foods these days - and yogurt (from whole local raw dairy in the 70s/80s - now with full fat coconut milk per dr Wm Davis' recipe) pickled plumbs, zucchini ...

I live in sweden. About the sliced mushrooms... Loved that but I was wondering, because I live here and it is cold I have trippel glazed windows. So question: can the mushrooms actually "charge" themselves when there is very little sun in the winter to begin with with, weak rays AND those rays have to travel through 3 tiers of glass on top of it? 🤔
