Totally agreed with the last point on declutterring. Whenever I get really stressed or mad or upset, I just clean up the house and it tends to put me in a better mood.

Great video! I just started walking 8000 steps a day. Instead of doing cardio I am just walking 8000 steps a day and lifting three times a week.

100% behind you on decluttering! There is an unrivaled Zen feeling, like you're washing out your brain from the inside!

I have always cleaned when I was upset or stressed. It always made me feel better. I didn't realize it was such an obvious thing, until one day I overheard my sons as they were coming in from school. My oldest son said to his younger brother "let's not go in, let's go to the park for awhile. MOM'S CLEANING!" Lol

Summary:
1. Know your target calories. Tracking for a couple months can help you understand better. To maintain weight - 17 x body weight, to lose weight - 14 or 15 x body weight.
2. Specific diet doesn’t matter, but eat high guy protein. 1/1 Rule helps find high protein foods, if something has 200 calories, it should have at least 20 grams protein.
3. Work out consistently and don’t do extreme things. A simple program can still be very effective. (Personal plug, I have a video with a free minimalistic workout program with dumbbells only).
4. Walk more. The more calories your burn, the more food you can eat. Try to do a 30 minute walk each day (and try not to get hit by cars). It also helps with mental health.
5. Track your sleep and prioritize improving your sleep.
6. Declutter your life. This may reduce your stress and improve mental health.

Hope you enjoyed the summary!

On the topic of the first one, I was slowly gaining weight and I just stopped eating most snacks I would and I’ve lost 3 pounds in about two weeks. Can’t say it will long term work for everyone, but it works for me

Frugality lets you maintain a balance where only your priorities come first, leading you to a secure financial future. I am avoiding debt, saving and investing around 40 percent of my income. I have a high paying engineering job, and I live upstate CN. since covid year my expenses are curtailed. I have zero debt on a 7 figure portfolio, low rent and car paid off. So i can just save. feel lucky and grateful my fiduciary came into play.

Weight is really not something people without expertise should talk about. Talk to your doctor. I gained 20 lbs in 2 weeks while I had a restrictive ED- going into organ failure from a medication that I was having a reaction to and it was hurting my heart and kidneys. Gained like 30 in the past year- and found out my house has toxic mold. I have no doubt I will get out of the inflammatory response once I get away from the mold.

See your doctor.

Brilliant as always 💚 18 x weight (will try ) and not getting hit by cars is a great idea lol. Do you have a morning and evening routine? Working on that now. Have a Favorite day and an even better Week ahead!

This is great video. I think the calorie ranger is dangerous though. I’m almost the same weight as you but if I are 3000 calories a day I would put weight on quickly. I’m more like 2500 at maintain and 2000 to lose.

That 17x weight rule works only for 1. People who exercise
2. Have "normal" weight (aren't overnight/obese)
And only if you know how much you weigh in pounds 😂

If you are overweight or have sitting work and do not exercise - way less calories should be norm

Hate to tell you this Gabe, but you've aged. You look at your face everyday, so it's hard to see. But if you go back to your earliest YouTube videos, 5 years ago, you were definitely a little more baby faced, a little less tired parent, and a little less salt and pepper. That's not bad, that just means you've managed to keep yourself alive! And you're a little older and wiser. Nothing wrong with aging, and I'm glad you feel great 😃
