25 Min Walk at Home Workout | Walking workout using light weights to target arms | No talking!

Today is Day 6 of the 7 day program. This is a 25 minute walking workout which is part of an interval training program designed for weight loss. Ideally, workout each day in order of the 7 day schedule and continue for 4 weeks. This is SERIES 2 (hopefully you completed the first program for 4 weeks!). In today's workout, choose a light weight that you think you can manage throughout the 25 minutes. Ideally, a light weight such as 1 or 2 pounds. Using heavier weights is too much of a strain on the joints since the movements are quick. You can also follow the workout without weights if you wish. Walk at home in your own space and get a great workout without going to a gym! This is a no-talking workout (other than the little intro).

This interval training program is suitable for anyone who can currently walk for 30 minutes 4-6 times a week. If you are at that fitness level then you can start this program (suitable exercise for seniors, beginners, and people of all ages). Interval training is geared for burning calories and fat, building muscle, and getting past that plateau effect that so many people hit. Interval training uses brief bursts of high-intensity activity which provides the effects people are looking for...more results!

The breakdown of each day:
Day 6: 25 minute workout with focus on arms

When I did this workout 20 some odd years ago, I shed weight really quickly. I had about 20 pounds to lose and I lost it. Interval training is super effective if done properly. As with anything, your body will start to get used to the workout so I'll create another program in the future. It'll just be a bit more challenging which is what your body will need at that point. Please email me if you have any questions about the workouts. Always listen to your body and take an extra day off at any point if you really feel you need it. The last thing you want is injuries so definitely listen to your body and go at the pace that suits your body and your fitness level.

After week 8, you will have a week off. Yes, an actual week off the intervals. Ideally, you should still work out but do other workouts you enjoy. 20, 30, 40 minute workouts are fine.

Jules, thank you for these videos. I started here by accident. I didn't realize this was going to push me so hard. Last month I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. It was a wake up call for me. I knew I needed to lose weight for my family. I wanted something I could listen to my own music in order to keep me motivated. Your videos have been perfect. This is my second time through. Last week, I had to put the weights down @ 1250 steps. This week I tapped out @ 2200!

I work out with photos of my family visible to keep me motivated. When I surpassed 1250, I looked at the photo of my youngest daughter who is nine years old. My eyes teared up. My father died when I was ten.


I hope your videos may give me more years with my family than my dad had with his. Thank you again!

I had to lose the weights pretty early on in this one, but still felt my muscles getting a good workout. Loved that you looked like you were enjoying yourself :) Smiles are definitely contagious and help make workouts more pleasant. Thanks, as always, for the thoughtfulness you put into this program.

We had to shave off 5 minutes from our workout this morning to accommodate appointments, but I think we got 30 minutes worth of exercise!!! Lol What a great workout!!

This was hard. The longest 25 minutes workout of my life and I put down the weights after around 7 minutes. That means I have to do it again and again. My hand was shaking so much I barely could push the thumbs up. At least your cheeks got rosy also. Good job. Thanks

Wow, that was hard I really felt the burn with my 500gram weights. A couple of times I had to lower my arms but I did complete the whole workout. I’ve just turned 58, I have inflammatory arthritis and I’m loving your exercise sessions even the tough ones. Staying fit to be the best I can so arthritis doesn’t beat me.

Very very good and challenging workout!!! Sure wish the music tract was better though. When I'm working this hard, it helps me to have music from the past that is fun to exercise along with, like your Bee Gees and Abba workouts are. I'm sure it is extremely challenging to find just the right mix. You do a good job at challenging us seniors to get off our bottoms and exercise! Looking forward to working out with you again. Thanks for all of your hard work in getting us moving!
