Such a good song. Usually I hear this and think back to my dad leaving. To his utter lack of empathy when my mom was in a coma and when I had to sign the paperwork to let her pass. But today, I hear it and pray that my daughter doesn't feel that I wasn't there for her when she was coming to terms with her new diagnosis and the effects it would have on her life. And that my other daughter forgives me for placing more of my focus on her sister when she was going through her medical treatment.
