This is a super tip and I will pass it on to a coworker of mine who was looking for just this solution. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Why do they make it so hard to sync between both apps/interfaces???? Why can’t you just create a task, put a due date on it and it will automatically sync with outlook calendar and show it there? Come on? It can’t be that difficult??? Can it?

That's GREAT information Matt. And very clearly delivered as always; with JUST the right level of detail. Thank you!

I was looking for a video on how to do this - thank you!

I would love if Microsoft made the Outlook desktop app perform the same as the Outlook web app. Not exactly sure why that hasn't been implemented after over a year. The web app process is much more unified with the To Do app interface.

Hi Coach, your video is really informative. I wish you would make another video for Microsoft To-Do and Outlook for the updated versions for Mac. Widows and mac functionality feel different.

You can do this 100x better with power automate. I have something that searches for #blocktime and then blocks. If I compete it deletes, if I miss it reschedules.

Why does Microsoft always have to go 70% of the way with integrations! I am sure deleting a task won't remove it from the calendar.

Microsoft To Do is now integrated with Outlook desktop app. The integration makes this even easier 👍🏽

Thank you for that. I have a question - semi related to this. If I wanted one place to record thoughts, events, conversations and tasks, what would you recommend. I see a daily journal, with me recording conversations, ideas, action items and then being able to reference them back - like with tags etc. Is this something OneNote could do? I am pretty much immersed in the Microsoft ecosystem (at work) with Confluence on the side. I'm guessing OneNote could be tagged with Outlook flags for follow-up and other tags to search on later...what are your thoughts?

If you wanted to drag your todo's to a different calendar... Other than the default outlook calendar... How would you do that?

Meanwhile, Planner tasks are also displayed in the To-Do app. I need this time-blocking function for Planner tasks as well. Is there a corresponding way to do this?
