Full-Body Hotel Room Workout | Stay Fit While Traveling!

Ever stayed at a hotel with a crappy fitness center? Or worse, no fitness center at all? If so, you’ve been in the same situation I was in, needing to devise a hotel room workout. This video shows what I did to stay fit and active while I spent a week at a hotel and had to make use of my surroundings and get creative.
The absolute best type of workout for a situation like this, in my opinion, is calisthenics circuits. This style is the perfect workout for small spaces. It relies on compound bodyweight exercises that require little or no equipment, plus the workout is fast-paced and intense to really get your heart rate up and rev your BMR. If you’re concerned about working out while traveling, learn about this basic format of exercise and you’ll be good for any situation.
The example circuit I use in the video is 4 exercises and centered on these 4 fundamental movements:
- Pushing (pecs, deltoids, triceps, serratus)
- Pulling (rhomboids, traps, lats, biceps)
- Squatting (quadriceps, hamstrings, calves)
- Core tension (hip flexors, rectus abdominus, transverse abdominus, QL, etc.)
By doing 4 exercises in a circuit format and repeating the whole cycle multiples times, you’re getting in a resistance and cardiovascular workout simultaneously without a gym. It’s the best option given the circumstances.
