During this beginner cardio workout we will be staying in the fat burning zone by staying at 70% your heart rate max!
If you have a smart watch, you can even track whether you are staying in the fat burn zone or not.

To determine your maximum heart rate, subtract your age from 220. For example, if you are 30 years old, your maximum heart rate is 220 minus 30 — or 190 beats per minute.
To enter the fat-burning zone, you'd want your heart rate to be 70 percent of 190, which is about 133 beats per minute.

This workout is designed to keep you in your fat burning zone, but of course it can vary from person to person! If you find that your heart rate is lower, try to put a little more pep in your step and increase your effort to get that heart rate up. If you are too high, simplify the moves or walk on the spot to bring your heart rate back down!

The exercises should bring your heart rate slightly above that 70% and walking on the spot will bring it slightly below. So long as you are 5-8 beats around your zone, this workout will be effective and help you burn fat all over!

Today I start again. After the birth of my daughter, I lost almost 20 kg with Jo and Tiffany Rothe. I was in the best shape of my life. Today, 7 months after the birth of my son, 14 months without exercise and 14kg heavier, I'm starting again. Wish me good luck. best regards from Germany

I gotta confess i stopped at the last 3 minutes, but im sweating and loving it! Its hard doing a workout when depressed but this is my day two of staying cosistent! And i gotta be proud of myself that i did something else than being so dark today. Thank God i found Jo!

Not gonna lie- every day I have to make myself workout (even though I LOVE Jo) and I always feel like quitting when there’s 10 minutes left, but I’ve been pushing through and it feels wonderful. I’m staying consistent and it’s all because of Jo’s sunshine personality and positive pep talks. They mean the world to me!!

Jo I want to say thank you my sister in law told me about your videos back in April and I have been doing them since. I was 170lbs. Now I am 134 and that is just doing your cardio and incorporating your other videos like toning the arms and legs. Everyday 7 days a week. I thank you very much! God bless 🙏🏾

I lost 11 kg in 5 months doing mostly Jo's videos 5 days a week and eating slightly less than my sedentary caloric requirement. I fell off the bandwagon for 2 months (no exercise + intuitive eating) and gained back almost 2 kg. I'm here to make it official to myself that I'm hopping back on this ride and aiming to lose another 10 kg.

To those who have started and lost motivation, we can do this. We can always get back on track and restart the journey.

I don't know how, but I just discovered your platform 3 weeks ago. I have never enjoyed Cardio so much in my life! 2 1/2 weeks ago I clicked on one of your videos and did the workout, 2 days later after doing 2 more videos I downloaded your app and started the beginner 4 week body recomp program and pairing it with one of your cardio workouts everyday and I'm down 10lbs (combined with eating in a 400-500 calorie deficit, 140grams or more of protein and around a gallon of water a day). You're a queen Jo!!!!

Coming up on my 1 year anniversary of working out with Jo! Within the past year I lost a total of 8#, which may not sound like much, but that 8# has STAYED OFF.
