To jumpstart massive weight loss I ate only sardines and canned mackerel (mostly sardines packed in water) for 7 months and drank only water and some black unsweetened tea. I lost over 150 lbs!

I still like sardines but now only eat them three days a week. Rest of the time I eat meat & eggs. Healthier now at age 67 than I was 30 years ago!

I would say the one go to meal would be ground beef and eggs. It is cheap, completely nutritious and would definitely reverse type 2 diabetes. It would also reverse most inflamatory or auto immune issues.

One year later, still listening to your videos and trying some of your interesting recipes, I am still maintaining my A1C at 6 or lower. I was truly rescued from an A1C of 14 not wanting insulin. My spikes are so much smaller and I absolutely use Mike the meter. Blessed Good Friday & Happy Easter. Thank you!

The meals I eat are these: either a burger patty and vegetables, or a section of chicken breast and vegetables, or a chuck of fish and vegetables. I don't use breading, I don't eat any additional bread or rice or potatoes with any of these. I sometimes use vinegar or sugarless ketchup. I drink water with my meals.

4 years ago I stopped the higher cart vegetarian diet and went low carb animal based foods diet. Best thing I ever did for my health! Blood sugars back to perfect inflammation markers down to optimal! Joint pains gone, brain fog gone and feeling fantastic ! So easy and love this way of eating! By the way I love sardines! 3 times a week or more ! Nuts are full of phytic acids and should not be eaten with minimal containing foods, Dr Edin said.

I never buy any box or bag that says Keto on it. It's just as bad. I usually have an egg container full of boiled eggs handy. I've cooked a 5 pound container of ground beef and put it in a covered bowl. There are so many healthier options than eating something with the word Keto on it. Putting keto on the box is just a marketing ploy, in many cases. That's why they think they can charge so much more money for it.

I buy a 14 oz can of salmon each week and make salmon salad. I add pickles and sour cream (instead of mayo) and sometimes add boiled eggs also. Season to taste. I eat a cup on a bed of arugula or salad greens and it is delicious.

Just had an OMG breakfast/lunch/dinner moment. 3 eggs, cheese, onion, pepper, salt, chilli, bacon/chicken/ham. Does at least 2 meals.

I have Celiacs and I have learned that I can't eat foods marked gluten free. Most of them have concentrated nuts, rice or oats which send my blood sugar very high. Keto and gluten free are still made with products I can't tolerate. Meat and low carb veggies are just about all that's left. Thanks for teaching me that nugget of wisdom. My daughters told me the other day that they couldn't remember seeing me this small. Priceless 😊

Dennis, you revealed my secret. I am type 2, over 60, and not overweight. I am also not insulin resistant according to the test results. I usually start the day with coffee and heavy cream. Somewhere between 2pm and 6pm I have my meal which consists of a piece of un-breaded meat, and steamed green beans or broccoli. This what keeps my BG close to normal.

Thanks Dennis Common sense is the key to success! My formula is to avoid grains and sugars of all kinds, and all fruit except berries. Works for me! I haven't seen a doctor in 5 years. :)
