In this video, Dr. Berg talks about when is the best time to do One Meal a Day (OMAD). There are two parts of the nervous system called the Sympathetic Nervous System (Flight or Fight) and the Parasympathetic Nervous System (Rest and Digest).

8 o’clock in the morning is the peak cortisol or peak of the stress hormone so it is not a good idea to consume one meal a day during the morning even though your stomach is at the most acid during this time.

The best time to eat to work with the body is during the late afternoon or the evening because you are going to get maximum digestion when you are under parasympathetic control.

Parts of the Nervous System:
• Sympathetic Nervous System (Flight or Fight) – This is when you are reacting to stress.
• Parasympathetic Nervous System (Rest and Digest) – This is during the latter part of the day (Evening) when your body is winding down. ]

My weightloss really went into high gear after I started OMAD! I'm losing 3+lbs a week, keeping carbs between 20-60gms per day calories between 1900-2600 and eating around 2-5pm. It's hard to imagine going back to three or even two meals a day. Oh, and cravings for my old Faves like pizza, burger, fries, and sweets are completely gone.

Free at last, free at last, Thank God I'm free at last!

I have one meal a day 4-5pm.. 5 eggs, T-bone steak, 16oz of vegetables. The veges change daily and so does the meat, to fish or chicken. I always eat my eggs. Last month I lost 20 lbs plus I walk 8-20, 000 steps most days. I only drink water nothing else. I’ve been following Dr Eric for years. Thank you Doc..

I been eating one meal a day for 1 year now. I eat at 2pm because it works best with my work schedule. I work out during my fasted state at 830am and I eat my one meal at 2pm because I own a restaurant and so I have to wait after my lunch rush is over. I lost 30 pounds with OMAD in the first 3 months and I have kept it off ever since. It has completely changed my life. I have never felt better mentally or physically. Thank you Dr Berg for all of your videos!

6-8pm OMAD has helped me be more productive and stress free during the day. Initially I was on a 1- 3pm OMAD but it made me crave food before bedtime esp when my family had dinner. But now it’s easy to focus on work just by chugging in water throughout the day waiting for a late evening heartful meal followed by rest. OMAD made me mindful about what I feed on and how my body digests it.

i do my OMAD @ 6PM most days because:
- I can push through the lunch hunger and stay alert at work
- In the evening i have more time to eat slowly and relax on the couch after a meal especially if it has carbs
- I cannot go to sleep if I am feeling hungry so I have to eat one meal no earlier than 5PM so I am not hungry before bed.

Dr, Berg: In January of 2021 I was 57, 5'6" 190 pounds, pre-diabetic, always bloated after eating, indigestion at night, felt terrible! After going to a doctor for a physical, she wanted to put me on diabetic medication! I told her NO, I'll take of this myself! Started looking around and I found your channel on youtube on weight loss, Apple cider vinegar and one meal a day. I'm now 58, I weigh 145 pounds! Look and feel FANTASTIC!!! I go to the gym twice a day, ACV with the "mother" before bed. OMAD between 5 and 6pm. One boiled egg, one avocado, fish or chicken grilled/cooked in coconut oil, also a small amount of beans(black, pinto, navy etc...) 88% cocoa dark chocolate with a multigrain bar. Glass of whole organic milk with ka-chava mix. handful of pecans, walnuts, almonds, pistachos and finally my greens kale, spinach, cucumber, and some blueberries and a few lemon slices. Lemon water all day along with a mix of ACV, lemon, ginger and honey. Thank You Very Much Dr. Berg you saved my Life!!!

OMAD with TRF (time restricted feeding) at noon. I finish around 1 or 2 and get 22-23 hours fasting. I've learned to embraced the hunger at 7-9pm and when I wake up at 6am, I can workout 16 to 18 hours fasted...best schedule for me. Went from 273 to 170 in 1 year...

When I started my I.F. and Keto April 20th 2022 at 357.4 being a novice at this I was doing a bunch of stuff wrong. Watching Dr. Berg's videos I am learning everyday. I have stopped losing at now 329.1 for the last 3 or 4 days. So I am started to move to (OMAD) starting today. Without Dr. Berg's videos I would have given up as usual but now I understanding some of this I.F. with Keto a little better. I am going to get healthy for probably this first time in 30 years. God had blessed me with a great DNA I don't have high blood pressure or diabetes or high cholesterol I am just extremely obese. If I can do it then maybe this will help someone eles so they can continue in there success. I am 58 years young unfortunately it took me this long to realize no one cares about my health the way I should except me. I am on a mission to save my life from obesity an get healthy. My God bless Dr.Berg and everyone who reads this. Thanks for reading 😊

Mr Berg. It has been phenomenally encouraging for me to watch your videos. I probably started following your advice mostly regarding intermittent fasting and ketogenic diet three months ago. Within these three months, the month of Ramadan fell into and the IF became easier for me. You would know by now that I am a Muslim and I was fasting the whole month of Ramadan. I started off with three meals a day and did it for 15 days, then two meals a day for 10 days and now I am in OMAD. It felt good. I have been in the habit of walking for the last 10/12 years. By the way I am 47 now. I have been struging very hard to lose my weight from 77/78 kg but I could not. Day before yesterday I weighed 67.8 kg ans I couldn’t believe the number on my weight machine. Alhamdulillah. Thank you very much. I am sure with the Grace of Allah, you have been changing lives of many many people everyday for the better. Please keep up the good work for the humanity. It means a lot.

My husband and I have been eating OMAD since February 2019 and we LOVE it. Through the years, we've tried different times of the day to eat our "one meal" but we've "settled" on 4pm. It's works with our schedule and gives us plenty of time to digest our food before bed.
