It's better to lose your food than lose your feet.

If you want to reverse type two diabetes go on a ketogenic diet, I reversed my diabetes, lost 40 pounds, never hungry, stomach issues are gone, snoring gone within a week! Loads of energy. I did this within 3 months. One year later I’m still on the keto lifestyle and no issues

I dropped my A1C from 12.2 to 5.3. I cut back on my portion size and cut bread, pasta, rice sugary drinks and POTATOES out of my diet. I threw them all away. Some days I ate more than 1200 calories most less than 1000. The key is exercise. I walk for 35 minutes on my work days and hike 4 to 10 miles on my days off. I exercise 7 days a week.

Such poor advice. It’s not sustainable to eat so little. Eat low carb and high fat high protein. That’s how I sorted myself out

My Grandfather married a wonderful woman who was very mindful of his diabetic diet, and fed him so healthfully that his went into remission. This was over a period of _YEARS_ mind you, nonetheless, it was a regular diet with desserts and the foods he liked in the amounts he enjoyed.

Low calorie, low carb, high fiber, nutrient rich (vitamins and minerals). Drink tea for hydration or just plain water. Far too many people do not take diabetes and diet seriously enough. Causing not just high blood sugars, but also inflammations of skin, blood vessels and joints.

The ketogenic diet works just as well to take stress off the pancreas, without the suffering and starvation...

I'd like to see the follow-up of this study. What happened to those people when they went back to eating a regular amount of food? Surely, no one will eat this way for the rest of their lives.

I am very confident that diabetes can be put into remission with much higher calorie levels than these if the calories are well chosen. My A1C was 13.2 and I have gotten this down to the 6.0 to 6.3 range with about 2500 - 3000 average calories per day. Also, three small meals is a very, very difficult way to do this because once you start eating you want to have a satisfying meal and feel full. You would be better off restricting the time window to eating only over 8 hours per day- maybe 12pm to 8pm, or whatever works best for you- many days I eat over just 4 hours per day, maybe 530 - 930pm, and this really has given me the best results- the more days like this, the faster my A1C goes down. I am very confident I am on track for an A1C of 5.0 to 5.5 within the next year, based on the progress I am making. Sadly, this is a poorly designed study- restricting calories this much is not needed for excellent results, and this low of a calories level will not give most people even close to enough energy for the day. Still, people should push hard for a lower A1C to avoid blindness, amputations, and other terrible effects of diabetes.

🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓This was a jacked up presentation, there are far better fun delicious food to eat to get great results, and if you can throw in intermittent fasting, every now and then, you're good to go. Medical insurance can bill for more money keeping people chronically ill, as opposed to showing enjoyable ways to stay healthy.🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

Instead of 825 calories a day it's probably better to just cut carbs to 40g or less a day

And how fast did they gain it all back... of course they will lose the weight. They are starving themselves. This study is terribly designed.

Just go keto. Lowers blood sugar, I speak from experience. This diet shown here will easily cause relapse. If you're a fan of pasta, buy a spiralizer and make zuccini noodles to pair with sauce. For me it's alfredo. Canned tuna with mayo and cabbage is a super quick and easy meal. Avocado, spinach and italian dressing is a very tasty salad. Mozzarella and tomato salad with olive oil and balsimic vinegar is also great. I love asparagus with butter, lemon and chili sauce. If you really want to bread then you can make flatbread using almond or coconut flour for a very low carb substitute flatbread. You can buy ultra low carb tortillas from most supermarkets and toaster them up to make into crackers or chips. Pork rinds also make a great snack with no carbs. Cheese sticks are also a viable snack. There's quite a lot you can eat while controlling your blood sugar. Personally I was diagnosed with diabetes while in high school with a blood sugar level of over 200. I can now reliably keep it below 100 through a strict diet that limits carb intake.

Cleaning is my exersice, after all ur moving all parts of ur body & if u have kids or Grand babies use them as weights. All that makes u tired & sweaty but its worth the fun with them & music.
