I thought they said the research suggested that h pylori is just one factor in causing ulcers, since not everyone with the bacteria will develop them. It's likely stress causes them to grow out of control and that certain foods can exacerbate the problem.

I've had it 2x. (Yes, I tested negative after the 1st round of antibiotics). Got it again 2 years later. It wasn't until my hemoglobin was at an 8 and my ferritin a 3, they figured out I had it again. (Got to love that stomach bleeding) Now, 8 years later, I have debilitating stomach pain again and I have the H. pylori/ stomach ulcer symptoms again. It's almost a joke at this point.

Do you now after antibiotic how long it takes stomack to heal and low stomac acid to get back to normal? I have wondered this or do people need hcl supplement after pylori treatmen.

So if you've been on a couple of different types of antibiotics in your life with a couple of weeks cycles on each, this would likely be cleared from your system unless you got re-exposed, right?

i thought i had h. pylori because i didn’t know what the hell else it could be (apparently it was gallstones! my symptoms just manifested in a really unique way) but when i told my nurse in the ER she literally laughed in my face

I’ve been on so many different antibiotics throughout my life. I feel like I probably don’t have it anymore. If I ever did here’s hoping I don’t possibly catch a disease I might have had. 😅
