Pro (?) tip, if you want to do a drop set after preacher curl, I recommend you to get off the preacher curl after you hit failure (or maybe even add lengthen partials at the end), still use the same dumbbell, and perform a drag curl afterwards.

Drag curl after preacher curl is a decent mechanical drop set. Works with both bi and unilaterally.

Also i kinda agree preacher curls are the best when it comes to training to failure their only problem is that they fatigue the forearms

A combination of them. Find what gives you the best stretch, squeeze, and burn. Focus on that movement. But still incorporate the others for training and muscle angle use diversity.

I've been cable curling due to elbow pain for a while but preacher curls are very good if you never pop your biceps.

What about the dude off in the corner doing Busser Lifts?

We got Waiter Curl but not recognition for the Busboy Exercise? 😅


For those who don't know, go grab a kettlebell, have it on your side, thumb would be facing forward with natural hand resting position.

You then get ready for the curl by having your hand with thumbs facing out,

Curl up the kettlebell to about a 45 degree elbow inner corner,

Now we're doing same motion as a rear delt fly, take the weight and WHILE DOING THE REAR FLY MOTION get the elbow to be shoulder height with 90 degree elbow bend

Last motion on the up now: with your elbow at 90 degrees and parallel to your shoulder, push upwards to have a straight arm.

I call this the Busser Lift because it's the same motions as lifting a tray off a trayjack, and then lifting it overhead so you can pass through around people easier (smaller silhouette compared to the tray being by chest and making you wider).
