When I talk on the phone, I always walk up and down the apartment. It sounds silly but my calls with my mom can last for good half hour and that can easily get me a couple thousand steps.

All of your videos have convinced me that even I, who hates the idea of standing let alone doing a dedicated workout, can exercise. I love that you show us simpler stuff like this and crazy stuff like those 1, 000 calorie workouts (I would never). Your attitude is incredible and your smile is infectious. You've given me hope that exercise doesn't have to be miserable at all. Maybe I'm just weirdly emotional today but like your "start slow and add onto that" and gentle tips are so comforting. Also, girl, that second outfit is KILLER. Please wear it again.

I love your approach to exercising. Exercising and losing weight don't need to be related and, while you might lose some weight if exercising, that shouldn't be your end goal. There are so many benefits from exercising, so why focus on only one of them?

I'm a student, currently writing my dissertation, and let me tell you that it is HARD to get more steps in. Whenever I move away from my desk I feel guilty about not working :/
I am way far off getting 10, 000 steps, so it's nice to hear you say I don't need to aim for that straight away. Also loved that you mentioned cleaning. I always count that as activity, but thought I might be cheating!
Another great video :)

I'm chronically ill & disabled so all my workouts are basically walking workouts haha. Broadway Bodies was my only exception! But I didn't know there were YouTube workouts of them! I'm excited to try them. My sweet spot is between 5k and 7k steps per day - I first got my fitbit after a surgery to help with rehab and even 1k steps per day was SO HARD. It's wild looking back at the progress!

First, I love that you picked Leslie Sansone!!!! I've used her DVD's for years and LOVE her! And second, I love your reaction to her workout! That was so fun to watch!

It rained earlier this afternoon so I couldn’t walk outside but I was basically begging to move (my anxiety says hi) so I did one of Olivia Lawson’s 3000 steps walking videos. Felt so much better and it lessened my thought spiral.

I also do MadFit’s dance workouts too sometimes to get those steps in!! My dancer side just craves the coordination and choreography HAHA

I love that you back your advice with research and science. And that you emphasize movement to improve overall body function and health, not simply as a means to "beat our bodies into submission." Thank you for that. I've also been doing a lot of walking workouts. I work out most mornings but as a writer, I spend most of my day sitting in a chair at the computer. I hike regularly on weekends and am training to hike my first mountain in October (it's in TX. Not a huge mountain). So, I've been working to get 10, 000 each day in conjunction with my regular workouts (which I've switched to emphasizing strength training). I honestly didn't think I would feel the added steps all that much, since I hike long distances regularly, but that's only one day out of the week. I felt it those first few weeks. Definitely. But, I feel ready for my hike already and I've still got plenty of time to go to train and get stronger.

I watched this video at the absolute best time! I had dental surgery a few days ago and was advised not to do any intense exercise for several days afterwards, so I’ve really been focusing on getting in lots of steps instead and I’ve been feeling great!

🤣🤣 that brought back some good memories. My mom and I used to do Leslie's videos back in the day. I think my mom still does them with her girlfriends now. She's the OG. So much fun!

Justine, I love your approach to fitness. I totally agree about people finding an exercise they love and to exercise for the health benefits, movement, etc. not to earn calories! We need more people like you on here!

Your videos are a really helpful as I am a total beginner to working out. I'm only 1 week in, so you've been a great guide and you've answered most of my questions. It's really confusing receiving different advice from all these influencesr, however yours was backed by science so it's trustworthy. Thanks for the great videos!

I did a dance workout one time and didn't set my watch or anything, just let it read the movement however it wanted...it thought I was swimming! 😅 I love the walking workout videos on stormy days when getting out of the house is a little trickier.
