The easiest way to incorporate a lot of walking in your life is to get a dog! Two times a day for 30 minutes walks are guaranteed, and you also get a benefit of having a dog. Dog owners tend to be quite happy folk, may result in some cortisol decrease as well, but don't quote me on that.

Thank you for sharing this. I'm so glad I found this video. I just started a couch to 5K for weight loss. Now I will switch just to walking and my regular exercise along with intermittent fasting.

I think step trackers are worth it. I also think it is best to break up walks, you’ll crave water instead of other beverages (for me, it’s coffee). Great video 💕

It takes me 1.5 hours every day to get to 10.000 steps. If I have to get somewhere that day then I walk, if I don't, I just take some time in the morning and evening to walk with an audiobook.

Love your info Amber! Your earlier videos helped me to get moving and get 10k to 12k steps per day. But I developed severe plantar fasciitis in my left foot unfortunately. So I switched to bike riding. It's great during the hot Arizona summer and is allowing my foot to heal. Do you have any suggestions for cycling and weight loss? I have a bike path in my community and my average speed is around 9.5 to 10.5 miles per hour. Thanks!

Power walking is the ONLY exercise that I’ve kept up for the past 20 years. I have 2 lb weights I hold while I walk ( I had to work up to 2 lb with my 1 lb) 🤣 they get heavy within the hour of walking!!

The hardest part for my steps for me is the weather. I miss being able to go to the gym rain or shine

I've watched a lot of your videos and others but its not really addressed in a way my thick head understands.
I dropped from 33% to 16% using calorie restriction alone. I aimed at 1250 but didnt really care as long as i stayed under 17-1800 at least 5 or 6 days a week. That kept me under maintenance even on most of my "cheat days". Coupled with quitting daily use alcohol i lost an average of 3lbs a week.
Now i want to get down low enough to see some abs so im intermittent fasting with 16/8 but Its hard to reach 2300 calorie maintenance doing this. The last few days I've cut carbs back to 25 and under. That's creating a huge caloric deficit but i cant really force myself to eat more.
A small break fast and giant dinner and im finding myself eating boiled eggs and drinking whey to try to get about 1600 calories.
This concerns me that im about to start losing muscle or crash my metabolism... now that i know that it a thing.

Long story summarized: do i need to compensate for missing carb calories even if im feeling full and great?
Is the rule not to go under 1200 cal there as a guide not to crash your metabolism? Meaning my (1600 wont hurt me.)
Also what I dont hear clearly is if 16/8 is a daily thing or should it be done in cycled. If so, how so?

I know that isnt this videos topic.
Thank you for taking your time to read this.

Thank you Autumn! This answered slot of questions for me but I have a few left. What if you don’t have an hour in a day just devoted to walking? Would you recommend a light run more like a jog for weight loss for busy people then? Not hiit running just a steady state run. I have run for years. If so, How much time running and how often per week? Is it the two times per week? If not, How to switch from running to walking without gaining extra weight? How fast if walking would you recommend for someone whose already in shape? And keep your steps just as high?
