i used to listen to big names, like athlean x, jeremy either, igor of virtutuan, nippard and others .. but man, lately .. lately its different . mostly i will find greg first before continuing my research to back up my info. wtf is this ?! greg doucette after effect?! . this guy is so fucking authentic wish i knew him earlier than most.

0:22 to 0:30 for the answer

1) 0.5 to 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight. I’d personally say do 0.72 to 1.1 gram of protein per lb of lean mass. Greg says *optimal* would be 1 gram per lb of lean body mass.
2) Eat 5 protein meals a day to *MAXIMIZE* muscle protein synthesis (muscle building ability).

Greg, I started watching your channel about a month ago and I am so fucking hooked. It's two or three video a day going back on archive. I'm slowly building up my diet - mostly - based on Greg's teachings:

Meal 1 - French toast 42 g protein (4 eggs, 3 slices wholegrain bread)

Meal 1.1 - Snack on fruit

Meal 2 - Lunch - varies from 40 ~70 g protein (usually beans, fish/chicken, veggies)

Meal 3 - Sandwich/Wrap 20 g of protein (ham, turkey ham, tuna mayo, burger patty + some greens like spinach or lettuce - all on wholegrain bread)

Meal 4 - Bowl of salad & Protein smoothie 40 g protein (40 g pea protein, 10 g hemp protein, 3 g collagen powder; 50 g frozen berries, half a frozen banana, ginger, cinnamon, 3/4 glass water)

On the off-chance I'm still hungry I eat some air-popped popcorn or sugar free jelly.

Other substitute meals : ham & veggie omelette, pasta for lunch with ground turkey breast and tomato sauce, banana & blueberry pancakes.

I might start making homemade protein bars as a sandwich substitute in the future.

Wow, finally some better info about protein. I've been following the dieting info I have learned from this channel and have dropped from 214 to 202 so far. My target weight is around 180.
