Leighton about three years ago I used to be annoyed with you and even thought you were not very smart and were just obsessed with destroying Calvinism. Three years later after having been a Calvinist for five years, I have not only come to respect you but I have come to love your videos. This year I left Calvinism behind. I used to have to succumb to a lot of mental gymnastics just to hold on so dearly to my beloved Calvinistic soteriology. Now the truth is plain and simple - God loves all and sent His only begotten Son for all people. Now I understand your passion for defending the love of God as it has been in revealed in Scriptures. I still love my Calvinist brethren. But it is so refreshing to see God in a more biblical light.

This is right on target for how we need to view the various passages and where they belong in the categories they fit. i tried being a Calvinist but blaming God for evil is something I could not do. The God revealed in scripture is not the monster god of Calvinism.

I've never heard a calvinist confront the verse from Rom. 7, "I was alive without the law once; but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died." If all are born dead in trespasses and sins, how could this square?

None of us deserve salvation, so God is within His right to only save one person if He so chooses. We can't criticise the author of life if He seemingly to us arbitrarily brings one to salvation and not another- but it's not anything in us over anyone else for which we are saved. It's fully grace.
