Narcissists dwell on the attention given to them by the empaths, while the empaths tend to absorb all of the negativity and toxicity. It is not uncommon for these relationships to end. Here are ten things the narcissist does to empaths when the relationship ends.

Narcissists can get very stubborn. An empath may try to break off the relationship, but the narcissist may not agree. Narcissists may act as if no breakup has happened. They may act as if the relationship is still going on, and they will continue to do the things they used to do in the relationship. The narcissist may act as if he/she still has control over the empath and will try to enforce their will. Should an empath want to end the relationship for good, the empath must show at least the same level of assertion and firmness.

The relationship between an empath and a narcissist is very complex. Ending a relationship with a narcissist can be very difficult as the narcissist will most likely retaliate with the things mentioned above.
