After I left, I didn't bother to treat myself properly. I thought to myself that I didn't need to look good in any way. Recently I started working out, put on make up, dressing well and got more confident and suddenly that narc came telling me how he regrets treating me like crap. Just nodded and continue on with my life without him in it.

Why would you care if a narcissist respects you? Honestly the fact that you want that makes you weak and therefore nobody respects you. Respect yourself.
