Walking is highly underrated for weight/fat loss. Easy way to start is walking for 10 minutes following each meal or hitting a step goal every day.

for people who do not have diabetes or pre-diabetes, normal glucose spikes following meals with NORMAL return to baseline is nothing to worry about. Please don’t let these people scare you.

Over one summer, I lost 60 lbs only from walking two miles a day. I still ate burgers, fajitas, fries, but cut the portions and added veggie sides. It also helped my mental health a ton.

I lost 24 pounds in two months from walking around 12, 000 steps a day and being more careful about how much I ate. That was it. It's pretty rad.

I just want ppl to know that walking 10-15 mins after eating really helps you to control blood sugar. My mom has type 2 diabetes & I have PCOS with insulin resistance, I started including walking immediately to 5 mins right after I ate for 1 month & checked my blood sugar & it hardly goes up over 100mg/dl 1 hour after eating

In college I did 2 hours a day and lost 20 lbs in a month, then 20 more after 2 months with a 30lb back pack and 50 push-ups

True story … my husband ordered a dish that had pineapple. It spiked his sugar badly. I suspect it had sugar added. He normally is fine with just diet and so far has not taken insulin. ( just doesn’t eat any sugar and working on weight loss) He had a monitor in his arm because he was having low blood sugars and going off the Metformin after losing 50 lbs. It got to 250 and climbing so we immediately stopped driving home ( it was like 90 miles to home). I had him drink water and walk .. and walk .. and walk around a park. Just walking and drinking water for 45 minutes he was back to 150. If his sugar had kept climbing… we would have had to go to an ER for insulin.

When I broke my leg a few years ago, it completely broke my confidence in running again because the trauma of tripping or losing balance while running makes me absolutely afraid. I broke my leg after tripping going down one step down. My physical therapist suggested I lose weight since I was considered obese at 5”0, weighing at 210 lbs. When I was cleared to walk again, I started out walking 1, 000 steps a day to just get the muscles going again since I lost so much weight in that leg/thighs alone. After walking 1, 000 steps for two weeks, I added another 1, 000 everyday even though it took all my willpower, effort, and through the pain. Eventually, I was able to walk 5, 000 steps a day and then when I hit the 7, 000 steps, I noticed a difference. I breathe better, my mood is better, I craved sunshine, my depression was better, and I lost 1 lb every week. When I eventually got my muscles back to my original state in my leg, I started walking 8-10 K a day. I lost 20 lbs in a span of 6 months since I did it on and off. I’m gonna go back to it again since my sister is getting married and I’m the bridesmaid. I need to look good. 😂

When COVID hit and we were all WFH, I went from daily 10K+ steps to barely 1500. Yeah, the difference is mind blowing. Not just for weight loss but general well being and healthiness!

Walking for sure helps keep a deficit. I was 260 lb 6' 0 like 6 months ago, down to 200 lb now, and let me tell you, even if you can only do cardio and cant do weights, cardio is still really good at keeping you at a deficit and keeping you losing weight. A 6 mile jog for me burns around 900 calories! I'm deficiting almost 7000 calories a week just by walking! That's two pounds!

Love the content, keep up the motivation ❤

I agree and confirm, at least from my experience, I always lost much more weight by walking than by jogging

I was talking to my doctor yesterday and I was telling him that I started working out
And was lifting weights and all of that.. so tell me why this man said…

“Why in the hell are you doing all of that?”
I was like 🥹🥹 huh? 😂😂
He said:
“Get on a treadmill and walk, strength train lower body one day and upper body on another day. And just walk for the rest of the days at least 20-30 minutes a day..( I do 1 hr ), fast walking on a Speed of 3 starting off, and hike your treadmill up on an incline (my treadmill at home doesn’t incline but I still feel the walking. My calves are screaming while I walk )and I guarantee you that you will shed that fat..” he told me to be realistic with myself and not magically just think I’m about to be 200lbs (I’m 257lbs now) by the end of the month of course but he is literally the absolute best doctor that I have ever had in my life.. I’m on day 7 and these results 😮‍💨😮‍💨👀👀 y’all better come hop on the walking train! It’s beautiful over here!!
