For example: The hamstrings cross both the hip and the knee. When you do deadlifts (Hip extension) you can see more growth higher up on the hamstrings, closer to the hip โ€” For leg curls (Knee flexion) you can see some preferential growth down lower, closer to the knee.

Also, yes, the calf works on leg curls. The first 15ยฐ of knee flexion (Top of the curl) is performed by the gastrocnemius. The degree which at will actually grow from leg curls I do not know

This was really helpful as most explanations/depictions of the targeted muscles don't mention the adductor's/abductors so I was never sure if I needed isolations for those

A lot of good info and some bad advice here. For one, soleus and gastrocnemius are always working when you do a plantarflexion(extend the ankle). Gastrocnemius crosses the knee joint so it helps to flex the knee. And also twisting your ankles in or out during hamstring curls does nothing to your adductors, hamstrings etc. Hamstrings flex the knee and extend the hip. Adductors as a whole adduct the hip, extend it and depending on the adductor head, like magnus or brevis, also do internal rotation of the hip.
