I wish I could change up my wardrobe. I drive a black on black car and wear all black. Black sports coat, black pants, black socks, black shoes. I feel weird wearing anything but black n ever tried grey or charcoal. I consider university graduations to be quite a formal occasion. It just doesn't look right to be dressed casual and wearing a trencher cap. I'd recommend wearing a suit with a white shirt and tie optional.

Consider the source. Some 22 year olds are getting office jobs and wearing suits...others are hanging around high school house parties. Still, they could be right. Are you dressing like Mad Men...well....? Are you wearing your dad's suits? Make sure you're choosing current style clothes...cut, fabric, colors, and put them together in current ways. Flat front pants, slim fitting jackets, pants, and jeans. Are other well dressed people on the internet and magazines wearing what you're wearing?

honestly you should dress your age. a little mature for your age is ok but thats about it.
if you're dressing 10 or 20 years too old then its going to take away from your intended effect
