Bob maybe you could have video going into understanding the settings of a sae 400 welder and its job selector control. i feel people get time under the hood with digital shop welders and might be at a loss if they run into it on a job. how they can control or change the arc from a smooth to a digging one etc. or what situations to choose certain ranges on it. thanks

I haven't done pipe welding as of yet. but I am curious, the way you welded this would legal in all aspects or could or would engineer or drawing call out for something different? I don't weld pipe or plate so my understanding of the requirements are minisqual. But fun to watch great video Bob!

Got told by the local boilermaker recruiter today that my cap looked real rough, but that I was malleable. Should I try to go back after I graduate from my trade school, wait on a letter saying I'm accepted into their apprenticeship, or write that gig off as not happening?
Had a three-stringer cap, middle wasn't at the same elevation as the other two. Root was A-OK.
