I'm so happy to bring you Walking Workout Number 17!

This one is a 40 Minute Treadmill Walking Glute Workout by @livestrongcom.
Many of you know that most of my treadmill walks include Incline. Adding incline to your daily steps really helps to build your glutes and turns your walk into a strength and cardio workout! Most of my walking workouts target these areas!

Incline Walking not only targets those glutes, but it also targets your hamstrings and quads without lifting weights. This should not replace your strength training during the week but added in to get some extra lower body work in! Incline walking also help increase your lung capacity, which improves your endurance and cardiovascular health.

Today's Workout consists of:

01:10 - 40 Minute Workouts Begins
38:10 - Cool-Down/Stretching

Tips from LiveStrong:
As your incline walk gets tougher, incorporate some deep breathing, inhaling for two strides and exhaling for two strides. You can also increase your step pace as you increase your speed, leaning into your steps.

Some of my workouts are High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workouts. HIIT workouts not only help build endurance, strength and speed but they are great ways to burn an increased amount of calories and with HIIT workouts you get maximum results in less time. Using a treadmill to change your routine and the intensity of your workout can help you reach new highs in your personal fitness.

Again TreadChic, has been designed for all individuals regardless of your fitness level. It is for the slowest of walkers to the fastest of sprinters. Each participant is given guidelines to determine their speed at the start of class.

I truly believe that we need to help empower one another to reach new and wonderful levels. It is my vision to make sure participants complete each workout feeling challenged and empowered to come back and do it again!

Thanks so much for this workout, it was exactly what I needed today! Planned on running but my lower back was not feeling it. Your workout certainly got my heart rate up without the high impact.

I was training on treadmill for about 2 years, I trained for 1:46:00 HM, but then I bought advanced treadmill with inclines and after month off training I started to get back to form with high incline trainings. It was the biggest mistake I made. I get the worst runner´s knee issue you can imagine. It is limiting me in regular daily things, also sleep. Now I am 1, 5 month off waiting for miracle, but I cant train (run) at all. Doing excersises and rehabilitations. Be very carefull if you train high inclines. The injury will come sooner or later beacuse your knee (patella) cant stand it. Do a 1-3% incline is okay, but everything above be very careful and ALWAYS hard stretch before and after. If you got any sign of runner´s knee issue, stop training like this imeditelly and train your butt, quads and hamstring muscles asap.

OMG that was harder than k thought.. many intervals I was at the low end of the speed, I am only 5 ft 1 or used to be I could be shorter by now.. I am 52 yrs old just started jogging and this was harder on my feet on the side of them than running. Wow. Thanks for this.

Didn't hate it. I didn't love it. Took until halfway through incline 10 to get my heart rate up. I ended up with one of your 20 minute workouts to finish. Love YOUR workouts, always make me work
