IMPORTANT INFO➡️ I’m sure something in this list can help you. I’ve tried it all, and these are my absolute favorites for growing the lower body.

As I say, these exercises are currently my favorites for building muscle. This is not to say that they’re necessarily the absolute *best* in all scenarios… but they’re all pretty close. For example: Including a short position glute movement in your program is probably a great idea (something like a Glute Bridge or a Hip Thrust where the maximal tension on the muscle is when the hips are fully locked). However, I don’t enjoy them much personally, so I didn’t include them in the list 👌🏼

For glutes it’s really better to do an exercise where there’s more torque in the shortened position. I like back extensions and hip thrusts. In exercises like RDLs where peak torque is in the lengthened position the adductors and hamstrings contribute most to hip extension.

To me the best leg exercises are:
-bilateral squat variation (belt squats or heel elevated front squats are my favs)
-unilateral squat variation (split squats and walking lunges are my favs)
-hip hinge variations (trap bar deadlifts, split stance RDLs, and back extensions are my favs)
-hip thrust variations (single leg hip thrust is my fav)
-hip abduction and adduction exercises (cable machine and seated machines are my favs)
-hip flexion variation (lying cable knee ticks are my fav)
-calf raises
