Guys, the point of the video was to give suggestions of different variations to practice and help improve/build up to your goal. You don't have to use all the progressions, and you can mix and match the order. Even if you can do normal pullups, doing a lower variation can help as well. Lastly, there are probably lots of ways to learn how to do a pull-up, Max is just giving his best suggestions. Just wanted to clear that up. Good luck everyone! Stay strong 💪!

It's much easier than this. Just go to the gym. Train your back, biceps and forearm, till you get a good muscular mass.
The reason why you cannot do pull ups is because the muscle group responsible of the movement isn't strong enough.
I started going to the gym in March, and i couldn't do one single pull up rep, i did my exercises without having improving my pull-ups as objective. 6 weeks after I tried it, and i found myself able to do 6-8 reps in a set.

I stopped to struggle with pull ups by pullovers. First time in my life i felt such a big pumps in my lats. Its one of the best back excercises ever, and criminally underrated.

I did my first pull-up a couple months ago. Now I can do 20 in a row. It’s probably not super impressive but I only do a set of pull-ups once or twice a day

Weighted assisted pull-ups help as well. Focus mostly on pulling with back muscles, squeeze the back.

I've been looking for such a concise yet informative video on pull-ups for ages, since all the rest of them are either way too long or are just like "so basically you grab a bar, pull yourself up with your lats and yeah, that's how you do a pull-up". I just wish YouTube would allow me to add shorts to my playlist, goddammit!
