What's the best pullup bar? (NOT sponsored)

Which doorway pullup bar is best?

Can I summarize in under 10 seconds?

Watch this exciting video to find out!

(spoiler: I can't. Also the video isn't that exciting.)

I think some of our community is a bit confused why I make so much longform content on YouTube that isn't fitness-related.

Yeah it makes less money and gets fewer views, but whenever I have a fitness video idea, I'm usually pretty sure I can summarize it in 60 seconds or less.

Just trying to save you all time!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend :)

This is just my opinion based on the many I've tried. If you like any of these and they work, power to you!

Heck, I'm just a guy that couldn't even summarize his own video in 10 seconds or less. So feel free to take this with a grain of salt.

You can buy any of these on Amazon if you want them. Brands don't matter as much there. Get one with good reviews 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟.

"I just want to save y'all time"

A wildly underrated statement this day and age, when we all always find ourselves busy, wanting to save our time is invaluable.

You can never get back time that you've wasted, it may just be the most valuable thing we have. Thank you so much for making short and concise when it matters.

in my opinion, this isn't a "fitness" channel. Your channel is more of an "all around life improvement channel" you focus on every aspect of self help, that takes most people quite a while of just life to figure out. heck, some people never figure it out.
so it doesn't matter if its 15 minutes or 20 seconds, i know if its your video? it will be productive. 👍

Whenever I feel anxious and my depression is really kicking me while I'm already down, I used to watch Bob Ross (painter) videos to calm me down. Then a year or so ago one of Hamptons videos was recommend. Now I have Bob Ross and Hampton. So talk about whatever ya want dude, it's all interesting and calming. 👍🏾

I followed a lot of fitness/mental health stuff. And I have to say you’re a favorite. Goes to show you can learn a lot from people younger than you.

My brother loves your channel. He’s 6 and he LOVES working out. He played this roblox game where you work out and get strong and he loves it. For Christmas he asked for a weight set and is super excited. Thank you for making great content that our family loves! Have a good day!

Good job keeping it compact :D
If you have good walls, I can also suggest wall mounting.
I've never had problems with the non-drill, non-press bars (just make sure its sitting correctly). But when my door frame changed from old and sturdy to new and cardboard, I feared damaging it and switched to wall mount.

You are a superior communicator. Your presentations are very useful for older people, especially those of us weekend athletes who have injuries in every joint. Good for you. I look forward to your book arriving soon.

While I've never tried one, I'm very skeptical of those pull up bars that hang on the doorframe.

Because, if I'm not mistaken, it seems to hang not on the doorframe itself, but on the strips of decorative molding that are nailed to the outside of the doorframe.

I opted for a stand alone one bc I can also do dips and push-ups with it and it’s much more stable

That is why I like your fitness videos. They are simple and to the point, and as someone else said in another comment, the fact that your channel covers wellbeing as a whole and not just the physical aspect makes it at least 10× better than the average physical fitness channel.

I used a pull up bar similar to the first one but without drilling a mount in. Worked fine except for one instance when it came off. But that was due to it loosening up. So all you have to do to keep safe is ensure you tighten the rod before every session or ensure you are not pulling in the direction which unscrews the bar.

Yeah, not only do those over the door trim ones fall because they do not hold well, they also fall because trim nails are not meant to hold weight, just thin and light trim. And not all builders put more than enough to hold the trim to the wall. If you can have a mounted shower curtain rod, get a solid bar and it can double as a pullup bar. You can also find a sturdy tree branch, and if you have a park nearby some have workout areas, but most will have monkey bars.
